Jestli\u017ee se fyzik\u00e1ln\u00ed \u010das a\u017e do na\u0161\u00ed doby mohl jevit jako jednotn\u00fd a absolutn\u00ed, bylo to proto, \u017ee fyzik od sam\u00e9ho po\u010d\u00e1tku zaujal zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed experiment\u00e1ln\u00ed stanovisko. S teori\u00ed relativity se objevil \u010dasov\u00fd pluralismus. Z hlediska t\u00e9to teorie existuje mno\u017estv\u00ed \u010das\u016f, kter\u00e9 si sice vz\u00e1jemn\u011b odpov\u00eddaj\u00ed a odv\u00edjej\u00ed se s objektivn\u00ed pravidelnost\u00ed, ale p\u0159itom nemaj\u00ed absolutn\u00ed trv\u00e1n\u00ed. \u010casov\u00e9 trv\u00e1n\u00ed je relativn\u00ed. Nicm\u00e9n\u011b pojet\u00ed \u010dasov\u00fdch trv\u00e1n\u00ed v nauce o relativit\u011b p\u0159ij\u00edm\u00e1 je\u0161t\u011b kontinuitu za jejich evidentn\u00ed podstatn\u00fd znak. K tomuto pojet\u00ed vskutku vede intuitivn\u00ed naz\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed pohybu. Av\u0161ak ji\u017e v kvantov\u00e9 fyzice tomu tak nen\u00ed. Zde stoj\u00ed fyzik na nov\u00e9 rovin\u011b a pro jeho naz\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed nen\u00ed sm\u011brodatn\u00fd pohyb, n\u00fdbr\u017e zm\u011bna. V\u0161echny obt\u00ed\u017ee, s nimi\u017e se setk\u00e1v\u00e1me, kdy\u017e si osvojujeme poznatky kvantov\u00e9 fyziky, vypl\u00fdvaj\u00ed z okolnosti, \u017ee se tu vysv\u011btluje kvalitativn\u00ed zm\u011bna pomoc\u00ed zm\u011bny m\u00edsta. Budeme-li dost p\u0159em\u00fd\u0161let o \u010dist\u00e9 zm\u011bn\u011b, uvid\u00edme, \u017ee kontinuita j\u011b tu pouhou hypot\u00e9zou, a to hypot\u00e9zou velmi nepoda\u0159enou, pon\u011bvad\u017e nem\u00e1me nikdy zku\u0161enost o plynul\u00e9 zm\u011bn\u011b. M\u016f\u017eeme se tedy domn\u00edvat, \u017ee .rozvoj kvantov\u00e9 fyziky si vynut\u00ed koncepci p\u0159etr\u017eit\u00fdch \u010dasov\u00fdch entit bez vlastnosti vz\u00e1jemn\u00e9 spojitosti objas\u0148ovan\u00e9 tak, \u017ee se intuitivn\u011b vm\u00fd\u0161l\u00edme do jej\u00edch kontinu\u00e1ln\u00edch drah. Kvalitativn\u00ed d\u011bn\u00ed je zcela p\u0159irozen\u011b d\u011bn\u00edm kvantov\u00fdm. Mus\u00ed proj\u00edt jistou dialektikou, postupovat od stejn\u00e9ho k stejn\u00e9mu prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm jin\u00e9ho.<\/p>\n<p>Kdyby bylo mo\u017eno vybudovat vlnovou a kvantovou biologii na z\u00e1klad\u011b vlnov\u00e9 a kvantov\u00e9 mechaniky, m\u011bli bychom p\u0159irozen\u011b brzy co \u010dinit s rozdroben\u00edm \u010dasu, je\u017e by si vy\u017eadovala speci\u00e1ln\u00ed statistiky pro \u017eivotn\u00ed mikrojevy, aby bylo mo\u017eno stanovit \u010dasovou \u00fa\u010dinnost. Kniha Lecomta du Nouy n\u00e1m v tomto ohledu p\u0159in\u00e1\u0161\u00ed \u010detn\u00e9 zaj\u00edmav\u00e9 podn\u011bty.<\/p>\n<p>Fyzik\u00e1ln\u00ed \u010das je pro n\u011bho pouh\u00fdm souhrnem individu\u00e1ln\u00edch biologick\u00fdch \u010das\u016f ve stejn\u00e9m smyslu, jako je sv\u011bteln\u00e1 vlna v\u00fdslednic\u00ed mno\u017estv\u00ed element\u00e1rn\u00edch mikrovln. Kontinuita by potom byla v\u00fdsledkem kryt\u00ed \u010dasov\u00fdch rovin.1) Mohli bychom j\u00edt je\u0161t\u011b d\u00e1l a \u0159\u00edci, \u017ee \u010das n\u011bjak\u00e9 tk\u00e1n\u011b by byl kontinu\u00e1ln\u00ed proto, \u017ee lze statisticky rovnom\u011brn\u011b vyj\u00e1d\u0159it nezbytn\u011b nerovnom\u011brn\u00e9 \u010dasy jej\u00edch bun\u011bk.<\/p>\n<p>Filosof v\u0161ak nemus\u00ed sestupovat do t\u011bchto oblast\u00ed, kter\u00e9 si prozat\u00edm zapov\u00edme, aby uznal pluralismus i diskontinuitu \u010dasu. Ji\u017e to, jak je obt\u00ed\u017en\u00e9 vytrvat v konkr\u00e9tn\u00ed meditaci, ukazuje mu dost jasn\u011b, \u017ee existuje \u010das slo\u017een\u00fd z nahodil\u00fdch ud\u00e1lost\u00ed, je\u017e maj\u00ed mnohem bl\u00ed\u017e k nevypo\u010ditatelnosti kvant ne\u017e k racion\u00e1ln\u00edm souvislostem \u010di k re\u00e1ln\u00fdm soudr\u017enostem. Tento duchovn\u00ed \u010das nen\u00ed, jak soud\u00edme, pouhou abstrakc\u00ed z \u017eivotn\u00edho \u010dasu. \u010cas my\u0161lenky je ve skute\u010dnosti natolik&#8216; nad\u0159azen \u010dasu \u017eivota, \u017ee m\u016f\u017ee n\u011bkdy ovl\u00e1dat \u017eivotn\u00ed \u010dinnost i \u017eivotn\u00ed klid. Duchovn\u00ed \u010das p\u016fsob\u00ed tedy sm\u011brem dol\u016f, v rovin\u00e1ch odli\u0161n\u00fdch od sv\u00e9 vlastn\u00ed sf\u00e9ry p\u016fsobnosti. Rozum\u00ed se, \u017ee p\u016fsob\u00ed tak\u00e9 v rovin\u011b \u010dist\u011b duchovn\u00ed, jak jsme se pokusili uk\u00e1zat v rozboru intelektu\u00e1ln\u00ed kauzality. Tyto slab\u00e9 z\u00e1blesky pozn\u00e1n\u00ed jsou jist\u011b nedosta\u010duj\u00edc\u00ed, aby n\u00e1s mohly orientovat v mnohotv\u00e1rnosti na\u0161ich \u010dasov\u00fdch zku\u0161enost\u00ed. P\u0159ece v\u0161ak mohou objasnit jeden aspekt na\u0161\u00ed teze, toti\u017e uk\u00e1zat, \u017ee \u010das m\u00e1 v\u00edce dimenz\u00ed a \u017ee m\u00e1 hustotu. Zd\u00e1 se kontinu\u00e1ln\u00ed jen za jist\u00e9 hustoty, j\u00ed\u017e dosahuje vertik\u00e1ln\u00edm uspo\u0159\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00edm \u0159ady nez\u00e1visl\u00fdch \u010das\u016f. Z toho na druh\u00e9 stran\u011b plyne, \u017ee ka\u017ed\u00e1 unifikovan\u00e1 psychologie \u010dasu je nutn\u011b mezerovit\u00e1 a dialektick\u00e1. Proti bergsonovsk\u00e9 tezi o kontinuit\u011b a plnosti pro\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9ho \u010dasu ukazuj\u00ed objektivn\u00ed i transcendent\u00e1ln\u00ed anal\u00fdzy \u010dasov\u00e9ho v\u011bdom\u00ed, \u017ee \u010das je pluralitn\u00ed a diskontinuitn\u00ed: jeho osnovou je st\u0159\u00edd\u00e1n\u00ed aktivit a klidu, tvrzen\u00ed a pop\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed. Dialektick\u00e1 struktura \u010dasu spo\u010d\u00edv\u00e1 na alternativ\u011b, \u017ee se v dan\u00e9m okam\u017eiku bu\u010f n\u011bco d\u011bje, nebo se ned\u011bje nic. Z t\u00e9to z\u00e1kladn\u00ed duality vysv\u00edt\u00e1, \u017ee dialektika du\u0161evn\u00edho d\u011bn\u00ed nen\u00ed logick\u00e9ho, ale \u010dasov\u00e9ho, sukcesivn\u00edho \u0159\u00e1du. Dialektika \u010dasu, jeho mezerovitost, jeho p\u0159etr\u017eitost umo\u017e\u0148uje abstrahov\u00e1n\u00ed \u2014 izolaci jednotliv\u00fdch \u201epater\u201c \u010dasov\u00e9ho v\u011bdom\u00ed a jejich deskripci. P\u0159itom se uk\u00e1\u017ee r\u016fzn\u00e1 hustota a intenzita \u010dasov\u00e9ho \u0159\u00e1du, r\u016fzn\u00fd rytmus mezer a vypln\u011bnosti, r\u016fzn\u00e1 pevnost vz\u00e1jemn\u00e9ho spojen\u00ed trvaj\u00edc\u00edch interval\u016f, nejen jejich nestejn\u00fd obsah.<\/p>\n<p>Nem\u00e1-li pojem kontinuity pro\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9ho \u010dasu z\u016fstat pouhou metaforou, pak nelze ch\u00e1pat kontinuitu \u2014 pr\u00e1v\u011b tak jako pam\u011b\u0165 \u2014 jako danost, ale jako v\u00fdtvor (pamatujeme si jen to, co bylo zdramatizov\u00e1no \u0159e\u010d\u00ed, a tedy za\u0159azeno do racion\u00e1ln\u00edho schematismu). Nejd\u00e9le trv\u00e1 to, co nejsn\u00e1ze za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 znovu, co m\u00e1 nejp\u0159\u00edhodn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed rytmus. Pamatujeme si vzhledem k budoucnosti, tj. z hlediska intence (i d\u00edt\u011b stylizuje sv\u016fj z\u00e1\u017eitek \u2014 \u201ekomponuje\u201c p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh o n\u011bm); tuto funkci pom\u00e1h\u00e1 pam\u011bti plnit um\u011bn\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Bachelard navazuje na tezi Gastona Roupnela z knihy Silo\u00eb, \u017ee z\u00e1kladn\u00edm pojmem re\u00e1ln\u011b p\u016fsob\u00edc\u00edho \u010dasu je rytmus. \u201eBudeme jen tehdy pevn\u011b konstituovan\u00fdmi bytostmi, \u017eij\u00edc\u00edmi v n\u00e1le\u017eit\u011b zabezpe\u010den\u00e9m klidu, budeme-li um\u011bt \u017e\u00edt podle sv\u00e9ho vlastn\u00edho rytmu a kdykoli zno-vunal\u00e9zat \u2014 p\u0159i sebemen\u0161\u00ed \u00fanav\u011b a beznad\u011bji \u2014 rytmus sv\u00fdch v\u00fdchodisek\u201c (Bachelard, p\u0159edmluva, s. VIII\u2014IX). Filosofie negativity chce rozru\u0161ovat \u0161patn\u011b konstituovan\u00e9, n\u00e1siln\u00e9 rytmy (to d\u011blala ji\u017e romantika, jen\u017ee na \u00farovni cit\u016f, nikoli racion\u00e1ln\u011b) a umo\u017enit hled\u00e1n\u00ed rytm\u016f p\u0159irozen\u011bj\u0161\u00edch. Zde nal\u00e9z\u00e1 Bachelard sty\u010dn\u00fd bod s brazilsk\u00fdm filosofem Peinheirem dos Santos (La Rythmanalyse. Rio de Janeiro, Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Psychologie et de Philosophie 1931) a uva\u017euje o vybudov\u00e1n\u00ed rytmoanal\u00fdzy jako protiv\u00e1hy k psychoanal\u00fdze: z nejduchovn\u011bj\u0161\u00edch, nejracion\u00e1ln\u011bj\u0161\u00edch oblast\u00ed psychiky chce vn\u00e1\u0161et \u0159\u00e1d a rytmus do nejni\u017e\u0161\u00edch, do podv\u011bdom\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Bachelard se domn\u00edv\u00e1, \u017ee m\u00edrou svobody je stupe\u0148 spiritualizace \u010dasu. Metodicky stup\u0148ovan\u00e1 reflexe umo\u017e\u0148uje uvolnit vazbu hierarchicky uspo\u0159\u00e1dan\u00fdch rovin \u010dasov\u00e9ho v\u011bdom\u00ed a vede k odpout\u00e1n\u00ed od materi\u00e1ln\u00edch obsah\u016f a \u017eivotn\u00edch \u00fa\u010del\u016f.
